Every round has a category — that's your clue to the word.

Tile colors show how close each guess is:

A new word drops every 12 hours — one AM round, one PM round, same for everyone.

The last answer reveals itself automatically when a new round starts.

Whoever solves in the fewest guesses wins the round. If two players tie on guesses, whoever took less time to solve ranks higher — timed from your first guess to your winning guess, not from when the round started, so it doesn't matter when you open the app.

The top 3 by that rule get a gold/silver/bronze medal — always based on this rule, even while you're viewing the board sorted by Time.

The Time / Turns toggle only changes what order the board is displayed in — Time shows who finished first chronologically, Turns shows fewest guesses (then fastest solve time) first. Medals don't move.

A small device icon with a number means that name has been played from more than one device — anyone can play under any name, so this is just an FYI, not a lock.

Top 3 solvers each round get a gold/silver/bronze cat medal — fewest guesses wins, and ties now break by how fast you solved it (timed from your first guess), not by when you happened to open the app.

The leaderboard has a Time / Turns toggle — see who finished first chronologically, or who solved it in the fewest guesses (and fastest).

Guesses must now be real words — checked against a standard word list before your guess is accepted.

Playing under the same name from more than one device shows a small device-count icon next to it.

A live timer now ticks from the moment you open the round — solved-in-first-guess still decides ties, but don't dawdle.
